S-20 has low solubility in mineral oil, Isopropanol, tetrachloroethylene and xylene, and is only dispersible in water. It is used as W/O emulsifier in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and textiles industries.

S-40 is used as dispersants in printing inks and in emulsion polymerization, and in textiles and oilfield chemicals formulations.

S-60 is used as component of fiber finish oils, as softening agents in fiber post processing, and as an emulsifiers in plastic and pesticide industry.

S-80 is used as W/O emulsion explosive, preparation agent of textile, emulgator of artesian well weighted mud and producing of food and cosmetic, dispersant in beaded paint, stabilizer of titanium dioxide, insecticide, wetting agent and emulgator in pesticide, cosolvent of oil production, antirust of slushing oil, lubricant and softening agent of textile and leather.
